From the above specs it’s pretty obvious that is not a powerhouse of a device but its got good hardware for its price. The performance is very good and the tablet will play most apps and games from the Google Playstore without much problems. However, the screen can look a bit dull and heavy graphic games or media heavy WebPages can make this tablet lag slightly. But at this price it does honor itself in the performance department.

Micromax Funbook Pro Tablet detailed reviews

This tablet is quite capable of playing your HD videos with ease and has the largest display in the market for tablets. However, being a budget tab, it does compromise on the screen resolution to an extent. But this does not hamper the video watching experience on it. Games too play just fine on it, although like the p300 if things get heavy, the performance does show slight bit of stutter. But it won’t make you pull out your hair and will surely satisfy you with its performance. If you are one of those for whom performance along with size matters, but do not wish to spend a fortune, this could just be your kind of low cost tablet.

3. Micromax Funbook Alpha: Aimed at the students and teenagers, this tablet comes at Rs. 6000. Details are as follows:

  • 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 7 inch capacitive touch screen.
  • 4 GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB
  • WIFI,USB 3.5 mm audio jack
  • No voice calling capability
  • 3G internet support via external USB dongle
  • VGA front camera
  • Full HD video support.
  • Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich

Micromax Funbook Alpha Reviews

This little Micromax mobile tablet comes with a range of educational apps and video tutorials from various leading institutions preloaded, just like the previous two. However performance wise though pretty similar to the p300, this tablet has better screen and smoother touch experience. Micromax has certainly improved on its software experience. However this tablet lacks the HDMI port, thus hampering its connectivity spectrum. But it can be argued that since it is aimed at students, Micromax thought of them to study harder rather than watch movies.

4. Micromax Funbook Infinity: This is among the newest offerings from the house of Micromax Tablets and is superbly priced at Rs. 4,500. Its features are as follows:

  • 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 7 inch capacitive touch screen.
  • 4 GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB
  • WIFI,USB 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI slots
  • No voice calling capability
  • 3G internet support via external USB dongle
  • 2 MP rear camera and VGA front camera
  • Full HD video support.
  • Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich

Micromax Funbook Infinity Reviews - Micromax Tablet Reviews

Now you may argue that it’s just another 7 inch device thrown from Micromax in the market. But dig a little deep and we realize why, this tablet at this price, is a steal. While all the hardware is pretty similar to the others, this one has capability to play 2160p HD videos and has a much crisper screen. The battery is larger at 4000 m AH to give more juice while usage and the tab is much slimmer and sleeker than the others. It looks good. The biggest draw could also be the front facing stereo speakers ala the Samsung 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 2 and the dual camera. It is the cheapest tablet offering these strong features and is indeed a great value for money product.

5. Micromax Funbook Talk: This one is a bit tricky one to buy because of its mixed bag of features and its relatively high pricing at Rs. 7000. Here’s a look why:

  • 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 7 inch capacitive touch screen.
  • 4 GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB
  • WIFI,USB 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI slots
  • 2G Voice calling capable, SIM Functionality.
  • 3G internet support via external USB dongle
  • VGA front camera
  • Full HD video support.
  • Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich

Micromax Funbook Talk Tablet Reviews - Should you buy one?

The reason for it being a tricky choice is that on basis of its performance and features it is identical to the Infinity tablet above but does not have the rear camera and comes at Rs. 2500 dearer. On the plus side it has calling capabilities and SIM card slot, so you can have 2G mobile internet on-the-go which is cheaper as compared to a 3G dongle albeit slower and allows you to make calls as well. But if you spend another 2000 bucks, there are dual core tabs to be had, some of which may also have calling features. So this is one tablet that consumers might want to think before buying. If calling isn’t your priority the Infinity is a good buy or if you want a calling tablet but do not wish to spend extra 2k, then the Talk is the only option. It is a good tablet none the less.

Note: All Micromax tablets come with MALI 400 2D/3D GPU for enhancement and improved performance of Graphics on their tablets. They all have access to Google Playstore out of the box.

This is pretty much the rundown of all the Micromax tablet; Funbook as they call them, which are currently available. All Micromax tablets have a very similar form-factor, the typical power button and volume rockers to the sides of it; just like every other low cost tablet in the market today. Hence the above Micromax mobile tablet reviews were focused mainly on their performance and features and not on their form factor.
